SANTEE, CA — Santee School District has welcomed a new board of education member.

Tracie Thill was sworn into the board during Tuesday's meeting.

"On behalf of the board of education, I welcome Tracie Thill to our team," board president Barbara Ryan said. "We all share a common commitment to serving the best interests of our district, and I look forward to working together as we continue to provide meaningful opportunities and support for the success of our students."

Thill, a 23-year resident of Santee, attended Hill Creek Elementary School and graduated from Santana High School.

Her nearly decade-long career in education includes experience in public, private and homeschool settings. She currently works as a paraprofessional in a third-grade classroom.
