Semi Driver Killed In Fiery Crash At I-15 & I-805 Transition

SAN DIEGO, CA —The driver of a semi-truck with a trailer was killed Friday in Altadena when she spun out, the truck overturned and crashed on the southbound Interstate 15 transition to southbound Interstate 805, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at 1:28 a.m. Friday when the truck driver was going too fast for the wet road conditions, went off the freeway and hit a tree, the CHP told OnScene TV. The truck erupted in flames.

The woman was either partially ejected or was trying to get out of burning cab, the video news service said.

As of 6 a.m., the transition ramp was still closed for the CHP investigation.
