AT&T Gives 50 Refurbished Laptops To San Diego Area Students In Need

AT&T partnered with Human-I-T​ to distribute 50 refurbished laptops to students at Cameron Family YMCA in Santee​.

SANTEE, CA — Dozens of San Diego County students and families received laptops this week as part of AT&T's efforts to help bridge the digital divide.

AT&T partnered with Human-I-T to distribute 50 refurbished laptops to students Tuesday at Cameron Family YMCA in Santee. Community leaders, elected officials and volunteers helped distribute the laptops to students who were selected by the YMCA of San Diego County's foster youth program.

"The laptops will be provided to local students who need devices to access connectivity," Christine Moore, AT&T's director of external affairs, told Patch prior to the event.

"Many students in San Diego lack the devices needed for digital learning," Moore added. "Access to connectivity is vital in helping to bridge the digital divide and we are glad we can provide these resources to those that need them most."
