Here are the top stories today in Boulder:
- On Monday evening the Boulder Police Department received a call that a man outside of a women's home was not supposed to be there. The woman was not home at the time, but saw the man via surveillance footage. The man, identified as 47-year-old Milton Rodriguez, was not allowed to be on the premises due to a protective order. According to Fox 31 Denver, "[Rodriguez] barricaded himself inside the home near 17th Street and Yarmouth Avenue in the North Broadway-Holiday neighborhood. BPD arrived at the home and saw the man inside with what appeared to be a firearm. After several hours, the Boulder Police SWAT team was activated at 11 p.m. and a shelter-in-place was issued to surrounding homes. BPD said that during the barricade situation, Rodriguez caused extensive damage to the inside of the home as well as police equipment. Nearly 12 hours later, Rodriguez surrendered to police at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday."(FOX 31 Denver)
