2 Rescued From Boulder Home As Armed Man Barricades Himself Inside

BOULDER, CO — Two people were rescued from a Boulder home overnight in what authorities called a possible hostage situation, the Boulder Police Department shared in a series of tweets.

The incident occurred in the 3300 block of Broadway near Iris Avenue, police said. During the rescue, one officer fired their gun but no one was struck.

After the victims were rescued, the suspect, who has since been taken into custody, barricaded himself inside the home with what authorities believe were multiple firearms, according to the department.
