  1. The search is on for a snowboarder who didn't return Sunday night. Reportedly, rescue crews were unable to reach the area near the Caribou townsite Sunday night due to weather conditions. According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) crews were able to access the area Monday morning, with approximately 35 rescuers to help out. The BCSO is asking for the public's help. The missing snowboarder is reported as being a 50-year-old man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing a black coat and grey snow pants. (He was using a splitboard – a snowboard that can be separated into two, ski-like parts). If anyone has information, contact BCSO dispatch at 303-441-4444 or call 911. (9News.com KUSA)
  2. The winner of Naturally Boulder’s 2023 Pitch Slam was Peak State Coffee, which also took home the "People's Choice" award at the Shark Tank-style competition. According to Peak State Coffee's website, it is "the world’s first whole-bean coffee company using functional mushrooms." Peak State CEO and co-founder Danny Walsh said in a press statement. “We haven’t done any paid marketing; we’ve just been focused on serving the people who find us by word of mouth. We are beyond grateful to Naturally Boulder for this opportunity.” Second place went to Terraseed, (the first vegan multivitamin in a plastic-free bottle), and third place went to Hooch Booch, (hard and non-alcoholic canned kombucha). The winning companies will all split a prize package of a suite of business services from Naturally Boulder sponsors. Congratulations winners! (BizWest)
