Today is an action day for fine particulates and visibility, and burning restrictions are in effect.

BOULDER, CO -- An air quality warning has been issued for the seven-county Denver Metro area in effect through 4 p.m. Tuesday. Residents are subject to indoor burning restrictions and are asked to limit driving if possible.

This is the second time in a week that the Front Range has received such a warning, after a similar alert was issued last Wednesday.

Fine particulate matter concentrations are expected to be in the Moderate to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range today, particularly for county locations below 6,000 ft., according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment.
