Annual 1940s Ball Ticket Sales Begin, Sure To Sell Out
The WWII era-themed event takes place each June in Boulder, celebrating '40s fashion and music with costumes, dance, and food.

BOULDER, CO -- Tickets are now on sale for Boulder's annual 1940s-era ball. This year's edition will commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day, and offers a trip back in time with swing dancers, period costumes, World War II re-enactors, and several tribute bands. The event sells out every year, and 2019 is unlikely to prove an exception.
Other highlights at the ball, this year scheduled for June 15th at the Boulder Airport, include performances by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, LA's Wartime Radio Revue, and Hollywood's Satin Dolz, as well as musical re-enactors inspired by Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and The Andrews Sisters.
Participants can have their photos taken in front of WWII-era planes, visit Rick's Casablanca Cafe, enjoy a cappuccino at a French Victory St. cafe, and visit an authentic 1940s drive-in movie theater.

“There is no other event in the world where you can step back in time and experience the sights and the sounds of the 1940s as the 1940s WWII Era Ball,” said Khyentse George, creator, and organizer in a press release. “Each year, we transform a real airplane hangar at the Boulder Airport into a vibrant home to historical reenactments, authentic WWII era military aircraft, and ball-goers dressed in period clothes to dance the night away."
