Boulder Fresh Start Warrant Forgiveness Program To Begin In April
An information session is scheduled for April 13.
BOULDER, CO -- A new local program giving individuals with active warrants on misdemeanor and traffic charges the opportunity to appear and resolve or set their case for further proceedings without fear of arrest is set to launch next month. It's called the Fresh Start warrant forgiveness program, and it is the result of a partnership between the Boulder City Attorney’s prosecution division and the Boulder County District Attorney’s office.
An information session is currently scheduled at the Boulder County Justice Center, 1777 6th St., on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information on the city's website notes that those who may benefit from review of their warrant status should plan to attend, but no appointments are necessary.
According to the city, eligibility for possible warrant forgiveness for county and state charges will be posted on the District Attorney’s web page at www.bouldercounty.org/district-attorney/ or available by phone at 303-441-3700. All municipal warrants are eligible. Participants will be able to speak with a volunteer, free defense attorney or immigration attorney about their case if they choose.
