BOULDER, CO -- It's going to be tougher than usual to get a margarita in Boulder this week, as the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant moves from its temporary location on East Pearl back into its newly remodeled space at 1101 Walnut Street. The Rio has been operating out of the temporary location, previously home to Ted's Montana Grill, since January.

The East Pearl location closed down on Sunday in preparation for the move, and the grand re-opening at Walnut is scheduled to take place a week later, on April 6.

The half-million dollar renovations will feature an open kitchen and a bar that has been relocated into the sunny main dining area. Other new features include cozier seating, upgraded paint and carpet, new furniture and fresh flooring, according to a press release from the Rio.
