Boulder School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

BOULDER, CO — The first day of school in Boulder is August 15 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Boulder Valley School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

August

• 8/15: First Day of School (Grades 1-5, 6, 9)
• 8/16: First Day of School (Grades 7, 8, 10-12)
• 8/17, 8/20: Kindergarten Staggered Start

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/19 - 11/20: No School (Parent Teacher Conferences)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/7: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/8: Classes Resume

February

• 2/15: No School (Nonstudent Days)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/25 - 3/29: No School (Spring Recess)

April

• 4/12: No School (Parent Teacher Conferences)

May

• 5/23: Last Day of School
