Citizen Tips Quickly Lead Police To Reportedly Armed Suspect
A man police believe threatened his victim with a knife was apprehended and arrested Monday night.
BOULDER, CO -- Boulder police arrested a man believed to have threatened another person with a kitchen knife Monday evening after two citizen tips helped officers locate the suspect, according to information released by the police department through its mobile app. Authorities received a 911 call at approximately 8:30 p.m. describing the initial incident, which occurred in the area of 28th Street and Glenwood Avenue.
Police released a description of the man, who was approximately 5'9" tall, wearing a brown hoodie, and last seen on a bicycle near the North Boulder Safeway. By 9:10 p.m., police officers had received two tips from community members stating that they had seen the suspect in the area of 28th Street and Pearl Street.
By 9:15 p.m. officers were able to locate the man near the McDonald's at 29th Street Mall, where he was arrested on charges of felony menacing and transported to the Boulder County Jail.
