CU Buffs Basketball Team Honors Local Teachers

Local teachers to be honored on the court — and with discounted tickets — on January 10.

BOULDER, CO -- The CU Buffs men's basketball team will be honoring local educators on Teacher's Appreciation Day this year. Local teachers can buy discounted tickets for the Buffs' Jan. 10 game, and a portion of all sales will be donated back to the area's schools. The university also plans to recognize dedicated, local Buff Teachers on the court during the game.

In addition, the team invites local educators to join in a special pre-game reception with hors d'oeuvres and mingling from 5-6:30 p.m. for alumni and friends of the School of Education at the CU Events Center Club Room.

The Buffs currently have a 9-3 record as the season gets into full swing. On Jan. 10, they will face Pac-12 rival Washington State, in what should be a competitive game as conference play gets rolling.
