CU Student Killed In Breckenridge Skiing Accident
The skier has now been identified as a 21-year-old student at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

BOULDER, CO -- The Summit County Coroner's Office has identified the man who was killed skiing on Sunday, Dec. 16 as 21-year-old Daniel Giger. Giger was a student at the University of Colorado-Boulder, and was originally from Newport, California. A spokesperson from the university confirmed to the Daily Camera that Giger was a computer science major.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office had reported that a man died after colliding with a tree shortly before 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Breckenridge ski resort offered condolences to those who knew Giger.
This is the second CU student this season to die in a skiing accident after Bill Brockmueller, 26, was killed in an accident at Eldora in early December.
