- Spring is on its way so if you are looking for something fun to do why not sign up for the guided Street Wise Downtown Mural Tour on March 4. Soak in local art with insights from a Street Wise Arts docent. Later in the month, don't forget about St. Patrick's Day. Save the date for the March 12, St. Patrick's Day Parade, hosted by Odd Fellows, featuring Irish dancers, Irish music and more. - Deeming itself to be "radically inclusive" Bitty & Beau's Coffee, a chain of coffee shops run by people with disabilities is set to open its first Colorado store along Pearl Street Mall in Boulder this fall. Originally founded in North Carolina in 2016 by husband and wife team, Amy and Ben Wright who are the parents to four children, including Bitty and Beau, who were born with Down syndrome, the Wrights set on a path to to create a career path for people with disabilities. Fast forward to today and now there are 24 Bitty & Beau’s Coffee shops open in the U.S., spread across 13 states. Can't wait until they open here in Boulder! (Mile High CRE)
- The process has begun to replace Boulder County Judge Kristy Martinez, who passed away last week. Interviews of the selected nominees will be taking place on March 22, by the 20th Judicial District Nominating Commission. According to Colorado Hometown Weekly, "under the Colorado Constitution, a nominating commission must select nominees and submit their names to the governor within 30 days of a vacancy. To be eligible, applicants must be a qualified elector of Boulder County and must have been licensed to practice law in Colorado. The annual salary for this position is $175,908." (Colorado Hometown Weekly)
