He is super cautious right now about possible wildfires due to dry grass in the area that combined with the right wind conditions could present a potential fire hazard. According to Fox 31 Denver McKinney said, “Now that [the] snow has disappeared, what we’re seeing is a lot of dry dormant grass, especially in the lower elevations, lower foothills. When things really start greening up, you know, it’s a sigh of relief for me." (FOX 31 Denver)
- You are invited to be part of the Boulder County virtual public meeting to improve safety and mobility along U.S. 287. Members of the public can attend the meeting, which is self-guided, at any time. Get informed about the U.S. 287 corridor’s history and current conditions. As part of the ongoing U.S. 287 Vision Zero Safety and Mobility Study, residents are being asked to impart their feedback on safety and mobility concerns for the project team. According to Colorado Hometown Weekly, "The meeting will remain open through March 19 and can be accessed at boco.org/287VirtualOpenHouse. Boulder County plans to host two more public meetings at a later date." (Colorado Hometown Weekly)
