Fallen Climber Requires Rescue In Eldorado Canyon State Park

Rescue authorities received a call about the Boulder man Sunday afternoon.

BOULDER, CO -- A man was transported to a Boulder Community Heath location for evaluation after a fall in Eldorado Canyon on Sunday afternoon required a rescue. Officials responded to reports of a fallen climber near Wind Tower rock in Eldorado Canyon on Sunday at about 1:40 p.m.

Kevin Martin, 40, of Boulder was climbing with his girlfriend and fell approximately 15 feet, according to a press release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office. Rescuers transported him to safety with a potential broken ankle.

Other agencies involved in the rescue included Rocky Mountain Rescue, American Medical Response, and Rocky Mountain Fire.
