Hangin' With The Big Boys: Domestic Goat Joins Elk Herd
Residents say the little black goat stuck close to his new family when threatened by a coyote attack.

LOVELAND, CO -- Residents have become enamored with a little black goat that has integrated itself into a local elk herd. Over the last week, the goat has traveled right in step with its new, big friends, as locals and wildlife officials have marveled at the relationship.
"A domestic goat seen here with some elk," wrote the northeast region Twitter account for Colorado Parks and Wildlife on Wednesday night, captioning a recent goat sighting video taken by an area resident. "This is not typical behavior for elk to interact with other animals. For the most part they keep to themselves, but that being said both elk & goats are herd animals"
