Man Steals Impounded Ferrets Back From Humane Society: Police

Officials say the whereabouts of both man and ferrets are unknown.

BOULDER, CO -- Police are searching for a man they believe stole two of his ferrets back from the Humane Society after the furry abductees were impounded when the man was arrested the previous week. According to a report from the Boulder Police Department, officers responded to the Humane Society, at 2323 55th St., on reports of a man screaming and hitting things inside of the building.

Police say the man was upset because he could not pay the fee to get two of his ferrets released. They had been impounded following his arrest on Jan. 13. He was allowed to see them, but then grabbed the ferrets and pushed an employee down as he fled the building.

A police spokeswoman told the Daily Camera that the whereabouts of both man and ferrets is currently unknown.
