New Marijuana Dispensary Opens In Longmont

LONGMONT, CO -- Longmont's newest marijuana business opened at 500 E Rogers Rd. last week. Medicine Man is the third dispensary that has been allowed to open within Longmont city limits after a 2017 city council decision extended that privilege to just four shops. The quartet was chosen in a competitive bidding process from a field of 13 applicants last summer.

"As northern Colorado's newest dispensary we know there is a built-in demand," said Medicine Man Chief Executive Officer Sally Vander Veer in a statement. "This event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the successful history of the Medicine Man brand and we are honored to be a part of the Longmont community."

The three other Longmont dispensaries are Terrapin Care Station, the first to open in early November, Yuma Way, which opened later that month, and The Green Solution, which has yet to open. Medicine Man was established in 2009 and currently has three other Colorado locations in Aurora, Denver, and Thornton.

Medicine Man will be supporting Stand Up Colorado, a local charity that works to prevent relationship violence, through their foundation.
