One Dead After Longmont Officer-Involved Shooting

The early-morning incident is under investigation.

LONGMONT, CO -- One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Longmont this morning, according to a report from the Longmont Times-Call. The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Pratt Street. The suspect had broken into an apartment at the time of the shooting, according to Longmont police chief Jeff Satur.

Satur told the Times-Call that a suspect is dead and an officer fired a shot. Officers are currently working to determine if the officer's shot hit the suspect, and Satur did not say what else might have caused the suspect's death.

The incident is currently under investigation.
