Palo Parkway Apartments Evacuated Due To Gas Leak: Avoid Area

Xcel Energy is on the scene, people are asked to avoid the area.

BOULDER, CO — The Boulder Police Department is asking people to avoid the area near Palo Parkway and 28th Street due to an overnight gas leak. Shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday night, police announced that the Palo Parkway Apartments had been evacuated, that the Boulder Fire Department was also on the scene, and that Xcel Energy was on the way.

At 2:20 a.m. the police updated the public, noting that road closures and evacuations had been lifted, but that Xcel was continuing to work in the area, and that the gas line had been shut off.
