RTD Boulder Service Changes January 2019: What You Need To Know
SKIP reductions, airport additions and more — check the schedule before you're left in the cold at a bus stop.

BOULDER, CO -- RTD has released a slate of service changes set to take effect on Sunday, Jan. 13. A number of the schedule and route shifts will affect both local and regional routes that serve Boulder County. The changes are part of a three-time-a-year review that RTD uses to align its services in a responsive way.

January changes for Boulder County:
- Route 225/225D/225E - New terminal at Mohawk and Talbot. Service will be increased on morning and afternoon rush-hour short-turn trips to 15-minutes in both directions. Schedule adjustments will also be made.
- Route 205T - The terminal will be moved from Spine and Lookout to Gunpark and Lookout.
- Route 228 - Service will be extended to Hecla and Hwy 42 into the Boulder County Kestrel Housing complex to provide service to approximately 200 residents.
- Route SKIP - Rush-hour service frequency will be reduced from the current 7–8 minutes to 10 minutes, while retaining the midday 10 minute frequency. This change is planned to improve on-time performance and support weekday afternoon northbound trips between Fairview High School and 14th and Walnut streets from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Route STAMPEDE - The East Campus terminal will change to Discovery Drive and Colorado instead of Innovation Drive and Discovery Drive. Schedule adjustments will also be made.
- Route AB - Morning and afternoon rush-hour trips will be added. Schedule adjustments will also be made.
- Route BOLT - Schedule adjustments will be made.
- Route FF1 - Schedule adjustments will be made.
- Route FF2 - Eastbound morning rush-hour trips will be added. Schedule adjustments will also be made.
- Route FF3 - Eastbound trips at 9:07 a.m. and 11:31 p.m. and westbound trips at 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. will be discontinued due to low ridership. Alternate service will be available on Route FF1.
- Route FF4 - Eastbound morning rush-hour trips will be added. Schedule adjustments will also be made.
- Route FF5 - Schedule adjustments will be made.
- Route FF7 - Morning and afternoon rush-hours trips will be added. Schedule adjustments will also be made.
- Route Y - Weekday midday round trips at 10:57 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. departing the Downtown Boulder Station and 11:42 a.m. and 1:02 p.m. departing the Lyons Park-n-Ride will be discontinued due to low ridership.
