Severe Storm Update: What You Need To Know For Wednesday
Boulder's Office of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service recommend canceling all Wednesday afternoon travel plans.
BOULDER, CO -- The National Weather Service has released updated information ahead of Wednesday's anticipated storm. Boulder County is under a winter storm watch from 10 a.m. to midnight tomorrow with three to eight inches of snow expected and possible wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. The impacts will be even more significant in eastern parts of the county, and northern Colorado east of I-25 will be under a blizzard warning during the same time frame.
Plan ahead! If you can avoid driving tomorrow afternoon, do so. Also dress appropriately and take caution if you absolutely have to travel during the storm. https://t.co/nzXNOZQnIO

Both the NWS and the Boulder County Office of Emergency Management are telling people in the area to avoid travel Wednesday afternoon if at all possible. Even for areas without significant snow accumulation, forecasters are warning that the high winds will cause severely limited visibility and drifting.
