Snarf's Departs Pearl Street: Sandwiches Out, Condos In

Boulder's beloved lunch spot will be moving to a yet-unknown location to make room for housing.

BOULDER, CO -- Snarf's Sandwich Shop will be closing the doors for the last time on it's 21st and Pearl location on March 27, the Daily Camera reports. The building that currently houses Snarf's is being redeveloped for housing.

Jimmy Seidel, the chain's founder, told the Daily Camera that the sandwich shop will relocate, but didn't reveal where its future home will be, noting that it is an older building that is being revitalized and has hit delays in renovations along the way.

Snarf's departure was expected, and not due to poor sales revenue, but the loss of another beloved downtown eatery comes amid a string of closures on Pearl Street including Emmerson, Ted's Montana Grill, The Cheesecake Factory and The Cup.

According to the Camera, for it's final day of business at the current location, March 27, Snarf's will host a fundraiser for Attention Homes, a Boulder County non-profit that operates a local youth shelter and offers programs designed to serve homeless and at-risk youth. Loyal customers will be able to get a sandwich of their choice with chips and a drink for a $5 donation
