  1. You're invited to join the Board of County Commissioners for a Town Hall meeting tonight from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sunshine Protection District, Station 1 (311 County Road 83, Boulder). The Board will be joined by Christine Vogel from the Area Agency on Aging to discuss aging well in Boulder County and other local issues brought forth by attendees. Registration is not required, but questions can be sent in advance to commissioners@bouldercounty.org. Hope to see you there!(Boulder County Government via Facebook)
  2. If you live in Boulder and you drive a car on this list be very careful where you park because you are more likely to have your catalytic converter stolen from your car. According to a tweet from the Boulder Police Department, the list of cars includes; Honda Pilot, Toyota Prius, Toyato Sequoia, Jeep Cherokee and Toyota Tundra. Throughout the country thefts of catalytic converters have skyrocketed along with vehicle thefts in general. This has prompted lawmakers in Colorado to pass laws ranging from funding for victims to increased penalties to making it more difficult to sell the cars and the parts. As always, stay safe and be aware! (KDVR.com)
  3. The son of one of the victims of the King Soopers shooting is taking a different path to justice and is suing the gun maker of the gun used in the murder of his mother. According to 9News.com KUSA, "in a lawsuit, Nate Getz, the son of shooting victim Suzanne Fountain, alleges the gun manufacturer, Sturm, Ruger & Company Inc. violated the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act through deceptive marketing of its AR-556 pistol. "He wants justice. His mother died," attorney Phil Harding said. Harding said the lawsuit was filed in Connecticut because that's where Ruger is based. The lawsuit alleges Ruger engaged in deceptive marketing by making a gun that's legally classified as a pistol, but with just enough changes to evade regulations a rifle would fall under. The lawsuit is similar to one families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims filed against the gun manufacturer Remington. Families of the Boulder grocery store shooting victims have until March 22 to be part of this lawsuit." (9News.com KUSA)
