St. Vrain Valley Schools To Begin With Remote Learning
All students in the district will be taught virtually until at least the last week of September, officials announced.
BOULDER COUNTY, CO — School district officials across Colorado are scrambling to make major decisions amid the ever-changing coronavirus rates in their regions, and St. Vrain Valley Schools is no different — with only two weeks until the district's classes are set to begin, the district has announced it will begin the school year with online learning.
In a letter to community members and staff, Superintendent Don Haddad said the district will wait until the last week of September to reassess whether students should return for in-person classes.
"At that time, we will re-evaluate the status of the coronavirus data, including the number of cases, positivity rate percentages, and more," Haddad's letter read.

Classes are scheduled to begin Aug. 18 for all grades except kindergarten, which is set to begin Aug. 20.
