Storm Warning: Northeast Colorado Could See Blizzard Conditions

Boulder is on the edge of a storm system that will overtake the upper western corner of the state Tuesday into Wednesday.

BOULDER, CO -- The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the entire northeastern corner of the state. Boulder is on the very edge of the predicted storm system, which will sweep through the area on Wednesday.

Boulder may see rain in the morning on Wednesday, forecasted to change to snow shortly after noon. Gusty winds and heavy bands of snow could combine for blizzard-like conditions. According the current estimates, Boulder could see four to six inches of snow and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service is recommending that people in the affected areas avoid travel, make sure necessary electronic devices are charged ahead of time, and check in on friends and family nearby.
