WARD, CO -- Firefighters and sheriff's deputies responded to a structure fire that moved into nearby trees Tuesday morning in the 200 block of County Road 100 near Ward, according to information from the Boulder County Sheriff's Department. The home is believed to be unoccupied, and there are currently no reports of injury or missing people.

Fire suppression efforts are on-going, but according to a tweet from the sheriff's department, firefighters do not believe that the blaze will spread into a wildfire.

This is the third significant fire in three days in Boulder County, after a ditch fire got out of control and burned 100 acres near Longmont Sunday, and the Little House Fire forced evacuations and road closures near Lyons on Monday evening. Much of eastern Colorado is currently under a Red Flag Warning, indicating a high fire risk due to low humidity and high winds forecasted to pick up Wednesday afternoon.
