Here are the top three stories today in Boulder:

1. In an effort to accelerate and launch environmental sustainability projects that benefit food and agriculture, Boulder County invited farmers, agricultural producers, the private sector and non-profit organizations to apply for funding. The recipients of 2023 Sustainable Food & Agriculture Funds include Boulder County Farmers Market, Boulder Valley Ranch, Community Fruit Rescue, Harvest of All First Nations, High Plains Biochar and Yellow Barn Farm, Nederland Victory Gardens, Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch, Speedwell Farm & Gardens, St. Vrain Valley School District, Sustainable Alliances, Inc. and Sustainable Living Designs. 2. Marking a first since 2003 the CU Buffs are going to the Sweet 16. After overtaking third-seeded Duke 61-53 Monday night, the Buffs secured their spot in the Sweet 16 to face second-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes in the regional semifinals in Seattle on Friday, March 24. 3. In the two years since the King Soopers shooting, Boulder has passed new gun laws such as raising the age to buy a gun from 18 to 21, a ten day wait on firearm purchases and a measure banning so-called assault weapons, (which is currently on hold as a lawsuit continues). Other cities in the county like Superior and Louisville, have passed similar laws in hopes of defraying any future gun violence. (9News.com)
