Travel Alert: Wind, Snow, Hazardous Conditions For Holiday Return
The National Weather Service urges travelers to complete trips before nightfall today.

BOULDER, CO -- A National Weather Service "Post-Christmas Storm" update recommends that travelers finish their trips before nightfall Wednesday — or better yet, wait until Thursday or Friday. As forecasts have developed on the weather system, it currently appears that it will hit the hardest in eastern parts of the states, with only limited impacts extending to the Front Range corridor.
Bands of heavy snow, blowing snow, and gusty winds will begin Wednesday night in eastern Colorado and continue through Thursday morning. Anyone traveling to the east — or returning from it — should take caution and plan accordingly.
Current storm impacts look to be under an inch in town, but could reach as much as a foot the further you go toward Kansas.
