Winter Storm Watch Issued For Boulder County This Weekend
Forecasts call for up to eight inches of snow in town and sub-zero temperatures.
BOULDER, CO -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Boulder County area that will be in effect through 5 a.m. Sunday. A band of heavy snow is expected to move through the area at about midnight tonight. Snow will be widespread throughout the area on Saturday, tapering off late that evening.
Accumulation from the storm could total a foot near the foothills and eight inches at lower elevations, with the heaviest snow expected to hit late Saturday afternoon. The storm is likely to bring a strong cold front with it as well. Highs on Sunday are expected to top out at 15 degrees, and lows Sunday night into Monday could drop below zero.
