Woman Injured On Mount Sanitas

Local rescuers helped the woman down from the popular hiking route.

BOULDER, CO -- Local emergency personnel helped a woman who was fell and was injured while hiking on Mount Sanitas Sunday, according to a news release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Department. The sheriff's department, along with Rocky Mountain Rescue, the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, American Medical Response and the Boulder Mountain Fire Department responded to the South Cedar Brook access point after the 56-year-old injured hiker was reported at about 2:30 p.m.

The woman was ultimately transported to a local hospital by family members, and is reported to have sustained minor injuries.
