Woman's Body Found Near Brainard Lake Ski Trail: Sheriff

BOULDER COUNTY, CO -- A woman's body found Thursday morning near Brainard Lake was recovered by local rescue workers, according to a news release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Department. Shortly before 10 a.m., a female passerby found the body at the west end of the ski trail near at the Brainard Lake Recreation Area in unincorporated Boulder County.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office all responded to the scene. Snowmobiles were used to recover and transport the body from the recreation area.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, as well as release the identification of the deceased woman.
