Big Soda Lake, Bear Creek Reservoir Reopen At 20% Capacity
Water activities and swim beach access are allowed at limited capacity, parks officials said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — Bear Creek Lake Park’s Big Soda Lake and the Bear Creek Reservoir reopened Saturday at 20 percent capacity. The restrictions — which include limits on parking and designated use areas — are part of an effort to meet public health orders, parks officials said.
Rocky Mountain Paddleboard will operate by reservation only, which can be made here.
"Lake users should plan to arrive early as capacity closures are expected and a full park closure is possible," read an update on the City of Lakewood website. "Know before you go: Visit Bear Creek Lake Park on Facebook for closure updates."

Boats that require an Aquatic Nuisance Species inspection are not allowed, officials said.

Jefferson County Public Health issued a public health order Tuesday that requires all residents and visitors towear a mask or face covering in public when social distancing guidelines can't be followed.
Bear Creek Lake Park's playgrounds, shelters, courts and outdoor fitness equipment are open. Surfside and Carmody pools are open by reservation, but all other pool and splash pads are closed.
