  1. Chatfield Reservoir, which borders Jefferson and Douglas counties, rose 10 feet during the month of May due to rain. This has created enjoyable opportunities for paddle-boarding and fishing in the reservoir this summer. No flooding occurred because the reservoir had previously been expanded to account for high rain seasons, like this one. Learn more at CBS Colorado.
  2. Local police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run last Saturday. The hit-and-run was fatal to a 22-year-old Jefferson County man, who was hit while riding a scooter. Visit Denver 7 to discover more.
  3. Denver Health's free doula program is combatting the growing maternal mortality rate. One volunteer doula, Claudia Davis , said, "I've labored with a lot of women who have immigrated to this country where their family is still back home, a lot of incarcerated women who are laboring completely alone and a lot of teen moms who kind of need someone as a guide that can demystify and explain some of the physiologic changes that are happening in their body." Read more about the program via CBS Colorado.
  4. A fatal accident occurred on the I-70 Thursday morning. The man who was hit and killed was a traffic stop by the CSP. Read more at The Denver Post.
