Here are the top stories today in Lakewood:

  1. Lakewood's Fletcher Miller School, which is designed for children with special needs, is using a dog in their education plans. The black Labrador Retriever, Gregory III, is an important part of the school, assisting with motor skills, communication, and sensory experiences.
  2. Colorado gas prices are decreasing as Summer approaches. This is a relief to those with summer road-trip plans. According to Gas Buddy, the cheapest gas in Lakewood is currently $3.19 per gallon. Visit Fox 31 for more information.
  3. U.S. Route 6 has reopened after briefly being closed due to flooding. It reopened early yesterday afternoon. Find out more at The Denver Post.
  4. Courts have ruled in favor of Vail Resorts in a class action lawsuit about the 2019-2020 ski season. Those with Epic Passes for the ski resort, which included unlimited access, were looking for refunds due to the pandemic's onset shortening the expected ski season. Vail Resorts, however, were always clear in their policy that Epic Passes could not be refunded. Read more at 9 News.
