Lakewood's 'Sounds Exciting!' Summer Concert Lineup Ready To Go
Starting in June, weekly concerts will feature local musicians performing in an outdoor concert at Bonfils-Stanton Amphitheater.

LAKEWOOD, CO – Lakewood's Sounds Exciting! summer concert series is ready to go, with six outdoor concerts planned for the Bonfils-Stanton Amphitheater at the Lakewood Heritage Center, starting June 19.
Bring a picnic, or purchase dinner from the affordable food options and soft drinks for sale. Enjoy local beer, wine and hard cider from the Sounds Exciting Beer Garden presented by Foothills Credit Union. (No outside alcohol is allowed).
You can buy a season ticket for all six shows for the price of five, or pay $6 in advance ($5 for kids) and $8 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the opening act going on at 6:15 and the headliner at 7:15 p.m.

June 19 | Hazel Miller BandRhythm and Blues

Hazel Miller is not just a great singer, "she is a force of nature!" quotes the Rocky Mountain News. Her voice has been called "stunning, moving and powerful." Hazel has been a sought after performer in Colorado for the past 24 years. Whether she is singing blues, jazz, pop, or gospel, her voice charges the songs with a primal dose of genuine soul. The city of Denver singled out Hazel as one of 150 people who make Denver a better place to live. June 26 | Eufórquestra Modern funk and roots with vintage soul

Eufórquestra (pronounced yoo-FOHR-keh-struh, think euphoria + orchestra) is energy and rhythm personified. July 10 | The Lonesome DaysBluegrass

The Lonesome Days are a five-piece high energy, modern bluegrass ensemble from Denver. Blending heartfelt songwriting and powerful vocals with precise instrumentation and undeniable groove, The Lonesome Days have charged their way to the forefront of the Colorado bluegrass scene. Songwriting is a major focus for the band but listeners can always expect a unique repertoire of standard bluegrass and other cross-genre covers. July 17 | Silver & Gold Alternative Rock

Having just released their first full length album, Silver & Gold produces heartfelt, high-energy rock and is starting to make a real imprint on the Colorado music scene. After forming in 2013 in Greeley, Colorado, they have developed a strong following in their hometown, Fort Collins, Denver and beyond. With two successful EP releases “Compression” (2014) and “Headed West” (2015) through local label BandWagon Records, the quintet has headlined countless shows and shared the stage with national acts such as COIN, Night Riots, Sorority Noise, The Unlikely Candidates and many others. July 24 | Chris Daniels and the Kings Blues

Celebrating 35 years as a band this spring, Chris Daniels and the Kings are a rockin’ seven-piece band known all over the world for making great rhythm and blues, funk, jump blues and funk 'n' roll music. The band's captivating, high energy performances are full of chart topping originals and some of your favorite blues and funk covers. Performing more than 120 dates per year and touring across two continents, the band has appeared with B.B. King, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Joe Walsh, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John Oates, The Lumineers, Uncle Cracker, Blues Traveler, The Neville Brothers and many more. July 31 | Mike Nash and Southern Drawl Band Country

Mike Nash and Southern Drawl Band from Knoxville and Nashville is described as "southern rockin' country music with a twist of lime distilled in the backwoods of Tennessee." The band has been touring the U.S. from coast to coast since 2012 and have had the honor of gracing the stages of many major artists from legends such as Lynyrd Skynrd, Charlie Daniels Band and Jimmy Buffett to classic country artists like Aaron Tippin, Neil McMcoy and Pure Prarie League right up to modern day stars such as Brantley Gilbert, Blackberry Smoke, Eli Young Band and Justin Moore. The band's rocked up, barn burning version of "Rockytop" smashed radio charts as one of the most popular versions in America and was played on NBC's Sunday Night Football in celebration of Peyton Manning's record breaking touchdown pass in October 2014.
