Missing Lakewood Woman, 70, Found Safe After Almost 2 Weeks

A woman described as having cognitive issues and using a walker was found safe, police said.

LAKEWOOD, CO – A 70 year old woman with cognitive difficulties who wandered away from her Lakewood home was found safe, police said Wednesday.

The woman, who uses a walker, had been last seen the morning of April 26 near in the 1200 block of South Gray Street.

According to police, family members finally tracked her down after "she basically decided to relocate to a different state," Lakewood police Spokesperson John Romero said in an email.
