Thunder Valley To Host Toyota Pro Motocross National
Some of the country's top motocross athletes are coming to compete in Lakewood.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Lakewood's Thunder Valley Motocross Park is set to host the 17th Annual Toyota Thunder Valley Motocross National on June 5.
The race is round two of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
The Thunder Valley Motocross Park has hosted the annual event for 16 years.

“Since 1972 the best motocross athletes in the sport have competed in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship,” said David Clabaugh, who operates the facility.
“Lakewood has hosted a coveted round at Thunder Valley since 2005, which has provided a significant positive economic impact on the community.”

Pro racing will begin at 8 a.m., and races are scheduled to end at 5:30 p.m.

The event will be held outdoors in the 618,051-square-foot park. Event staff and race participants must complete health questionnaires and undergo infrared temperature checks, organizers said.
Face coverings will be required, and fan viewing areas will be restricted to comply with social distancing guidelines. Handwashing stations and sanitizer will be available in all areas of the park.
