The Berlin Police Department has issued a traffic advisory regarding the event, urging motorists to be patient.
"There will be significant traffic pattern changes in the area of Wethersfield Road, Beckley Road, Berlin Street, and Route 372," wrote the BPD.
"Traffic pattern changes occur each day at fair opening time. Delays should also be expected on all area streets including Berlin Turnpike through Sunday due to increased fair traffic."
Hosted by the Berlin Lions Club with much of the proceeds benefiting Lions Club causes, the four-day extravaganza takes place at the Berlin Lions Fairgrounds, 410 Beckley Road, Berlin.
Single-day admission is $15 for those 12 and up, but there are several discounts for seniors, military personnel, veterans, and students. Even better, children 11 and under are free all four days.
The Berlin Fair also features a plethora of diverse musical acts all four days — and it is not just country music.
Among the shows are a "Doors" tribute band, a soul review, and other types of music from oldies to country and western.
Of course, any fair's staple is food, food and more food, not to mention all sorts of rides that aim to thrill folks after (or before) they fill up.
And with a perfect weather forecast tentatively expected to take effect over the four days, fair organizers are bracing for a big weekend.
