Berlin HS Celebrates Young Science Whizes
The school's science department recently honored those who scored in the top tier of a standardized science test, with one being perfect.
BERLIN, CT — Berlin High School recently celebrated the prowess of its students doing well on a standardized science test, achieving the highest level on the examination.
And one student — Justin LoPresto — did even better. He was perfect.
The test administered was the Next Generation Science Standards assessment. It is a state-distributed standardized test for pupils in grades 5, 8, and 11.

Students recently honored were current seniors who took the test in 2023 while they were juniors.
Last month, the BHS science department hosted a special awards ceremony honoring those who made it to the top tier.

"Their achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence," wrote BHS in a statement.
