Berlin Library Events To Make Poets Out Of Participants

The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is hosting a poetry workshop on Saturday afternoon.

BERLIN, CT — Folks looking to make art with the written word can do so at a special poetry workshop at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library on Saturday.

There, they will join poet and master teaching artist Victoria Nordlund to craft poems in response to artwork created by local community members.

The program is on Saturday, March 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the library, which is located at 234 Kensington Road, Berlin.

From haiku suites to free verse, to concrete poetry, this workshop encourages the convergence of visual and poetic expressions, fostering a supportive and dynamic environment where works may be shared and potentially exhibited at the library.

Nordlund is the creative writing director at Rockville High School in Vernon, CT, an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, and lead master teaching artist of the The Nook Farm Writers Collaborative at The Mark Twain House & Museum.
