BERLIN, CT — Two Berlin runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut. Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41. The top Berlin runner was 27-year-old Alex Carbonell, who finished with an official time of 3:05:04. Carbonell was followed by 47-year-old Christopher Cullen, who finished with an official time of 3:55:35, according to the Boston Athletic Association.
