BERLIN, CT — Summer is almost over for Berlin students, with the first day of school for most students being Thursday, Aug. 29.
Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates for the Berlin School System:

Start date: Thursday, Aug. 29
Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5 (No classes also on Monday, Nov. 4, for professional development)

Thanksgiving break: Thursday, Nov. 28, - Friday, Nov. 29. (early dismissal Wednesday, Nov. 27)
Winter break: Monday, Dec. 23, to Wednesday, Jan. 1. (early dismissal Friday, Dec. 20)
Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 20
Presidents Day: Monday, Feb. 17 (no classes Tuesday, Feb. 18, for professional development)
Spring break: Monday-Friday, April 14-18.
Last day of school (tentative): Friday, June 13.
