Berlinis hosting its first-annual 'Family Cornhole Tournament' later this month, with the registration deadline being Friday, April 11.

BERLIN, CT — This week is the deadline to register for the first of what Berlin Social and Youth Services hopes will be an annual, springtime family fun event.

The department is hosting its first-everFamily Cornhole Tournament on Sunday, April 27, at Pistol Creek Park, 600 Spruce Brook Road, Berlin.

Families and groups are being asked to register for the event by Friday, April 11, by doing so online.

Dubbed a "free, fun-filled community event," the cornhole tournament is for all ages and skill sets.

Cornhole is a popular, beanbag tossing game where teams try and, simply, get the beanbag through a hole on a slanted platform.
