CT Pickle Festival To Tempt Taste Buds In Berlin

The 2024 Connecticut Pickle Festival will take place Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, at the Berlin Fairgrounds.

BERLIN, CT — One of Connecticut's quirkiest, most unique events will take place this weekend at the Berlin Fairgrounds and guests will surely be in a pickle about attending it.

But don't fret.

By "pickle," the organizers of the Connecticut Pickle Festival mean pickles, as in the preserved cucumber snack that is everything from a condiment to a side dish to, as this festival will showcase, a dessert.

Eating is the main attraction, but the pickle festival also has contests, activities, games, entertainment ... you name it.

From fried pickles, pickle fries, pickle pizza to pickle shaved ice, pickled-topped ice cream (one needn't be expecting either) to pickle shish kabobs, there is something to challenge anyone's taste buds.

Visitors will even be able to meet Pickle Pablo, the official mascot of the Connecticut Pickle Festival.

And there is a pickle-eating contest that is in search of anyone brave enough to compete.

Tickets are on sale now and they're available at the event and/or online.
