HS Improv Group BIT Performs At Hartford Improv Festival

BIT is the second high school troupe to be invited to the yearly event that will take place on Apr. 6.

From Berlin HS: Formed in 2013 to further examine the craft of improv for students, the Berlin improv team, known as Chomping at the BIT, has been working hard to learn and hone the craft of improvised long form comedy. BIT recently received news that they have been selected to perform at the Hartford Improv Festival in April.

The festival is a yearly event hosted by Connecticut’s premier improv troupe, Sea Tea Improv. BIT had to submit a recording of one of its performances and apply for a spot in the multi-day festival. To our knowledge, this is only the second high school troupe ever to have been accepted into this elite festival.

They bested professional improv teams from around the nation and even as far as Canada. BIT is incredibly excited to perform on Thursday, April 6th at 7pm; the venue is still being finalized, but up-to- date information can be found on BIT’s webpage at https://sites.google.com/berlinschools.org/dramaclub/bit. BIT is now hard at work preparing for their biggest night of improv yet!
