New Britain's Great American Boom July 4th 2023 Fireworks Details

NEW BRITAIN, CT — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around New Britain for 2023.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around New Britain so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in and around New Britain:

What: 2023 Great American Boom fireworks event
Where: Willow Brook Park
When: Tuesday, July 4

According to the New Britain Progressive, there will also be food trucks and entertainment. Read more here.

On the town's website, it states: A parking pass is REQUIRED for entry. Parking passes can be picked up at the New Britain Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department (27 West Main Street, Room 302, New Britain, CT, 06051), 8:15am-3:45pm starting from Friday, June 9th until Monday, July 3rd.

Additional purchase and parking pass pickup hours:
Saturday, July 1st 1:00pm – 8:00pm at Willow Brook Pool, 80 Mill Street
Sunday, July 2nd 1:00pm -8:00pm at Willow Brook Pool, 80 Mill Street
Tuesday, July 4th 9:00am – 2:00pm at New Britain Stadium, 230 John Karbonic Way

For the safety of our spectators and staff, all must adhere to the following rules:
1) A parking pass is required for entry, please place the parking pass on your rear view mirror.

2) Parking lots open at 7:00pm.
3) Parking lot entry will close at 9:00pm.
4) The fireworks show will take place at approximately 9:15pm-9:30pm.
5) Per Sec. 17-46 of the City’s ordinances, alcoholic beverages shall not be consumed in parks.
6) No pets allowed.
7) No Refunds, Rain Date: July 5th.
