Catherine Voelpel finished 37th out of the 63 competitors in the 400 meters at the National Championships in Greensboro North Carolina.
"This caps an amazing season for Catherine that saw her lower the school record in the 400 meter by over a second, earn All-New England status and earn a spot to compete at Nationals," Berlin coach Steve Soucy said. "As a coach I could not be more proud of how hard Catherine worked this year and the accomplishments she attained.

"We set very high goals for the season at the end of last year and the fact that she was able to reach all of them really shows how hard she worked. In the coming fall we sill sit down again and come up with the timeline and goals for next year. Her times from this year already qualify her for next year's Nationals."
